No, we install only parts procured by our shop to guarantee quality, proper fit, and full warranty coverage on all repairs.

We recommend a general inspection every time you get an oil change. This lets us check fluids, brakes, belts, and key systems regularly to catch issues early and keep your car running smoothly.

We recommend scheduling an appointment—either online or by phone—to guarantee prompt service and a dedicated repair bay. However, we do accept walk-ins whenever capacity allows; giving us a quick call ahead helps us accommodate you more efficiently.

Here are a few great ways to pass the time while we work on your car in Darrington:

  • Grab a coffee at Moe’s Coffee Shop (1080 Seeman St) for a cozy atmosphere and a quality brew moescoffee.com.

  • Or head to Bespoke Café (1180 Cascade St) where you can enjoy specialty coffee roasted from Giddy Sloth beans—and even browse mountain-bike gear while you sip bespokewa.com.

  • Stretch your legs at Old School Park (1026 Alvord St), perfect for a picnic under the gazebo, a ride on the pump track, or a stroll with views of Whitehorse Mountain Town of Darrington.

  • Sample local brews at River Time Brewing—just a few blocks away—where you can relax with a pint and grab a slice of pizza if you’re hungry Tripadvisor.

Your check engine light can come on for many reasons. Here are the most common:

  • Loose or damaged gas cap: If the cap isn’t tight, fuel vapors can leak and trigger the light.

  • Faulty oxygen (O₂) sensor: This measures exhaust gases—when it’s bad, your engine can run rich or lean.

  • Failing catalytic converter: If it’s clogged or damaged, emissions rise and the light turns on.

  • Bad mass airflow (MAF) sensor: This tells the engine how much air to use—when it fails, performance and fuel economy suffer.

  • Worn spark plugs or ignition coils: Misfires and rough idling will light up your dash.

  • Vacuum leaks: A cracked hose lets extra air in and upsets the air-fuel mix.

  • Transmission issues: Some transmission faults will also trigger the check engine light.

We charge an hourly of $140, plus parts at cost and any applicable fees. Here’s how it works:

  • Labor – We look up the repair’s standard hours in our guideline book, then multiply by our shop rate.

  • Parts – You pay what we pay (plus a small, disclosed markup), so you know you’re getting fair market pricing.

  • Fees & Taxes – Any environmental or disposal fees, plus sales tax, are listed separately.

  • Up-Front Quote – We’ll email or print you a detailed estimate showing labor, parts, and fees—and we never start work until you’ve reviewed and approved it.

That way you get a clear, no-surprises price every time.
